include many of the
major “blue chip”
marques around the
world (Daimler,
Volvo, Citroen,
Scania, Schaeffler,
John Deere etc). Our
designs are required
to be robust,
practical,
innovative and
clever.
After another record
breaking year and
with a full order
book, we require an
experienced
mechanical design
engineer to
complement our
already flourishing
design department.
Reporting to the
Technical Director,
the applicant for
this role will be
required to fulfil a
wide variety of
tasks. These will
include:
(ii)
3-D Solid Modelling
(Solid Edge) and FEA
(Ansys Designspace).
(iii)
Overseeing the
production of all
detailed drawings
for manufacture.
(iv)
Project Management
(v)
Preparation of
Project Quote
drawings with design
input.
This position
requires a forward
thinking, practical
Engineer with the
ability to create,
verify and
eventually
model/detail new
designs.
Experience of
hydraulic and
electrically
operated machinery
is advantageous.
The applicant should
be of degree calibre
or have the
requisite experience
to feel comfortable
with the diversity
of this role.
Experience of 3-D
modelling and Finite
Element Analysis is
essential, although
training will be
provided on Solid
Edge and Ansys. We
currently also use
Autocad LT 2000.
